Essity

Launch of Essity “Hygienfaktorer” – a edutainment series about hygiene and health

Hygiene and health shape nearly every aspect of our daily lives, from personal wellbeing, to business performance, to the overall health of society. Yet, their true impact often goes unnoticed. When these subjects stay private, we miss opportunities to share knowledge, solutions, support each other.

With the new series “Hygienfaktorer,” Essity creates a forum for dialogue and reveals the often-hidden importance and benefits of hygiene and health. Guided by the promise “For everybody and every body,” the series sparks meaningful conversations, deepens understanding, and helps people feel less isolated in their experiences. They highlight practical solutions and provide real support that makes a tangible difference.

The concept plays on the double meaning of “hygiene factor”: not only something related to hygiene, but also something essential for wellbeing and a healthy society.

Across six episodes, comedian Torbjörn Averås Skorup explores subjects such as menstruation, incontinence, and public hygiene. Each episode is grounded in verified facts, expert perspectives, and real stories. Curiosity and humour make sensitive or technical topics approachable without ever diminishing their seriousness.

The first three episodes premiere on YouTube on August 20, with the remaining three to follow in October. The series will reach audiences through social media, organic channels, display advertising, and digital out-of-home (DOOH) placements.

This initiative supports Essity’s ambition to be a leading voice in hygiene and health. As the company behind brands such as TENA, Libresse, Libero, and Tork, Essity is deeply involved in many of the issues and needs highlighted in the series.

Grow led the strategy, concept development, and creative direction for Hygienfaktorer, collaborating closely with production partner OTW to realise the series. Media partner Clay and PR agency Greenhill contributed to the launch.
