A Glass Act
In collaboration with Mille Notti’s creative director Catherine Hustad and Reijmyre Glassworks, Grow has developed a set of limited-edition glass products for the bathroom. As is customary at Reijmyre, we created hand-drawn designs that were brought to life by the talented glass blowers. Each item is unique, handmade and numbered.
The soap tray and toothbrush holder feature soft, organic shapes achieved through similar glass-blowing techniques. After gathering glass on a blowpipe, the soap tray is shaped using a wooden block and further inflated with the blowpipe. Its final form is then achieved by shaping it with a wooden paddle. The toothbrush holder is made by blowing hot glass into a crafted wooden mould, followed by shaping it with a wooden paddle and transferring it to a putty. The putty attaches to the bottom of the object, allowing the glassblower to create an organic opening shape. To prevent cracking, the glass undergoes overnight annealing in an oven before undergoing a final check and marking.
The colours and patterns are carefully chosen to harmonize with Mille Notti’s premium bath textiles.
